Behavioural Management!
Behavioural Management & Copyright Infringement in the Literary & Film Industries.
I’ve taught many subjects from Primary up to College-University Level. Behaviour should have a monitoring period to understand what’s really going on. One of the best strategies for Behavioural Management is CID. Challenge-Ignore-Divert.
Challenge-Ignore-Divert consists of three elements:
Challenge – tell the person what the behaviour is which is not acceptable, such as theft. Remember don’t tell them what they can’t/ don’t do or what they need to stop doing. I reached out to said thief on Wed, 24 Nov 2021 at 18:24, under the guise of asking for help but also letting him know that I know about Copyright Infringements of Bloodborg.
Ignore – if you do not get the response you want, do not keep telling the young person off. Give them time to reflect on what you’ve asked them to do before you continue to repeat yourself. Do not ignore the young person, but momentarily ignore the behaviour while you give them a chance to stop doing it. I monitored the theft and even allowed smaller infringements to go unchallenged as I gained evidence. I hoped that he would stop this behaviour and sign me, as he “was” an influential person of power.
Divert – distract the young person from the behaviour by offering them a way out. This way, they can save face in front of others and can choose to stop misbehaving without feeling like you’ve ‘won’. If your first diversion fails, repeat the cycle and get creative with the next attempt to divert! I attempted to divert his thieving by writing a book about a Literary Agent stealing synopses and told him of a metanarrative of these events. But again, he just didn’t listen. He’s a CEO with his head in the clouds and perhaps his dick in his writers (I can’t confirm that statement). He stole that book too.
I warned him several times on posts that I knew of his behaviour, and I even joked that it might be the Hive Mind. But then his pet-writer who he had been feeding my work to, got all cocky and rude about her crimes. So I warned them directly and gave them ways out quietly. I did give them a calendar month to respond but the more I read and the more I deep dive into the crimes, the more its affecting me and my brand. I asked them to have someone call me to let me know they are dealing with it, but they chose to ignore this.
My patience is wearing thin on letting them “Save Face” and escape total wreckage, which is what will come when I drag global brands into the court room. He’ll see who his friends are when reputations are on the line and prison sentences are on the table. I’ll punch holes through the BS myself, without legal help. But I know that snakes are slippery, so I’ll get legal help and I’ll expect him to try to divert the attention from his crimes by crying that he and she are victims. I’m sure he’ll try trickery over honesty, and it will just make things even worse for him and the writer, and others involved.
